Hi, my name is Philana Friede, empath, intuitive, compassionate, relaxation therapist.  My extensive background includes hypnosis for all purposes and individuals including, weight loss, stop smoking, performance, phobias, stress relief, anxiety and past life regression. I have decades of experience as a life coach, business coach, mother, wife, and organic farmer as well.   All of these skills combined give me the empathy, compassion and insight to help you relax, restore, strengthen and improve through hypnotherapy.  

Hypnotherapy is gaining ground and becoming more mainstream. It's an imperative part of rewiring the brain and creating new neural pathways. These pathways will not only change your habits, but they will improve your performance, decrease stress, and help you manifest your authentic self.

What is Hypnosis?

Guided hypnosis, is a trance-like state of focus and concentration is achieved with the help of a hypnotherapist. This trance-like state is similar to being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one's own thoughts or meditations. In this state, you can turn your attention completely inward to find and utilize the natural resources deep within yourself that can help you make changes or regain control in certain areas of your life.

Applications of Hypnotherapy:

There are many applications. Hypnotherapy can be used to treat anxiety, phobias, substance abuse including tobacco, sexual dysfunction, undesirable spontaneous behaviors, bad habits, weight management, and athletic performance. It can also be used to help improve sleep, learning disorders, communication, and relationship issues. 

What to Expect:

Although there are different techniques, hypnotherapy is generally performed in a calm, therapeutic environment. The therapist will guide you into a relaxed, focused state which allows your subconscious mind to come to the forefront.  You will then receive life enhancing suggestions and directions in order to change your mind at the subconscious level.  You must put the proper information in to the subconscious mind to obtain the proper results.  

You will also learn a form of self-hypnosis.  Practicing this technique will reinforce and ensure you will move into the positive outcomes you are seeking and maintain them.   As a result, you will be calmer, more relaxed and have  more control in your life and much less stress.    


You will remain in control at all times. Hypnosis is safe and approved by the American Medical Association.

  • We will not become stuck and cannot get stuck in a hypnotic state.
  • You are in full control every step of the way and you will gain control over the issues you are addressing.
  • I do not have control over you as the hypnotist 
  • A hypnotist cannot change your core beliefs or morals or make you do something against your will.
  • Anyone who wants to be hypnotized, and allows it, can be hypnotized as long as you feel comfortable with the hypnotist and being hypnotized in general.
  • Hypnosis is a state of relaxation that is beneficial to your health and wellbeing.
  • Hypnosis is a state of heightened focus and concentration.
  • People go through four brain waves typically in a 24 hour period.
  • Hypnosis is an alpha brain wave and is often referred to as “the zone” and is used by many professional athletes.
  • A deeper state of hypnosis is the theta brain wave, and is the same brain wave you pass in and out of during a deep sleep.
  • A deeper sleep is a delta brain wave and this is not hypnosis.
  • You do not lose consciousness in hypnosis and you actually hear everything because you are not asleep. You are able to respond to the words you’re hearing through physical movements.
  • Self-hypnosis is a great way to deal with the stresses in your life.
  • Hypnosis is a direct way to contact your subconscious mind: You must put the proper information into the subconscious mind in order to ensure the proper results.
  • Hypnosis is an effective way to change negative thought, self talk, and habit patterns that interfere with your health and wellbeing!​
